Antique 18 Karat Gold, Diamond, Green Garnet and Ruby Set Salamander BroochRegular price $ 15,000.00
With a line of 21 old European Diamonds mounted in Platinum and with Gold set faceted Ruby Eyes and an abundance of Green Demantoid Garnets. The Salamander is beautifully made, with a writhing body and crawling rear legs which give it a great illusion of movement, undoubtedly the best model I have seen. The Salamander has been revered for thousands of years for its ability to regrow severed limbs, something scientists are attempting to trace the gene which enables this, in order to greatly help we humans, so wearing a Salamander is more symbolic than just wearing a very pretty Jewel.
