13th Century Iron and Gold Pendant

$ 2,800.00

13th Century Iron and Gold Pendant of Thomas Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury, who was murdered in 1170 and was later canonised as St. Thomas of Canterbury. The image shows Becket with one arm outstretched and the other holding a Cross and dates from the mid 1200's. I am told that the pendant, later mounted in Gold, was found between the flagstones of Lady Chapel in Glastonbury Abbey in the early 19th century. A wonderful and exciting Holy Relic
